I often get pictures sent to me from my wedding clients after their big day. It is so lovely to see the accessories finishing off their look and hearing how much they loved them, happy clients means a happy Lynsey.
Living in such a small county I often know the photographers that will be capturing the wedding day through their lense and in turn they will recognise my jewellery. They usually manage to get great pics of Lark & Lily pieces at the getting ready stage right through to the ceremony/first dance. They will contact me with images or tag me in the pictures which is great!
Even if my clients are getting married away South or abroad they kindly still send me photos after they return from Honeymoon, something I greatly appreciate!
Today I am sharing some photos of Beverly & Jonathan’s day captured by Samantha Lovatt Photography.
Beverly runs the local bridal boutique Simply Bliss and she helped me pick my wedding dress nearly 5 and a half years ago so it was lovely to be involved in her wedding this year.
Once Bev had her dresses for her bridesmaids and two flowergirls she got in touch and I went out to meet her at her house. Along with a couple of her maids we discussed style, size and colours of jewellery for the girls. Colour matching with the gorgeous maids dresses was easy with the gorgeous soft pink of their dresses, it was deciding on a style that was a wee bit harder!
We tried out a few different sizes of Swarovski pearls and crystals together to find out what they liked best, it was decided on a more delicate look was suited . The pale pink Swarovski matched the dress colour and the white pearl and silver crystal matched the beading on the dresses so that was the decision made!
Matching earrings were also requested so to keep these matching the bracelets they repeated the same pattern of Swarovski crystal & pearls as the bracelets. There is always an option with my jewellery to have a sterling silver hook (as pictured above) or a sterling silver post/butterfly back. It does depend on personal preference but these hooks allow the earring to hang beautifully in my opinion. I can also offer a component of sterling silver for non pierced ears, these can be requested if required.
Onto the Flowergirls, or in my range these come under Little Lark & Lily.
Anything made smaller is cuter right? and these were no exception. Kept similar to the maids bracelets, these were created in the same size & style of Swarovski pearls & crystals. Just a slight colour change to tie in with detailing on their dresses.
Beverly & Jonathan’s wedding took place at Loch Yarrows, here in Caithness, just near their home and it looked like an amazing day. I am told the maids and flowergirls all loved their jewellery and some have worn their gifts since the wedding.
I love hearing that, it is nice to know that the jewellery is worn again and also a reminder of such a special occasion.
What do you think, is modern classic jewellery the way to go? Allowing it to be worn again and better value for money?
